FAQS

  • To find out if you're pregnant, the first step is taking a lab-grade pregnancy test. These tests are over 99% accurate in detecting pregnancy hormones.

We offer no-cost, confidential pregnancy tests, and you don’t need insurance. If you qualify, you can also receive a non-diagnostic ultrasound during your visit to learn how far along you are.

  • On average, there are two to three days each menstrual cycle when you can get pregnant. This ovulation window usually happens about two weeks after your last period begins.

Counting from the start of your last period can give you a rough estimate of when you may have conceived. However, an ultrasound is a more accurate way to determine the age of the fetus. Since fetal growth follows a steady pattern, an ultrasound can provide a clearer estimate of when conception likely occurred.

  • The amount of pain a woman may feel during an abortion can vary from person to person. It depends on how her body responds to the procedure and her personal pain tolerance.

Other factors that can affect pain include the type of abortion and how far along the pregnancy is.
